Guidance
- Connect OZVO Edge to the commissioned network and power.
- Sign in locally, confirm health, and optionally enable remote access.
- Approve and deploy the first Windows Agent from the existing asset.
Before you begin
OZVO Edge is the local security appliance for your commissioned site. Keep the supplied appliance, power connection, and network connection together, and use a current supported browser from an authorized device.
- A wired network connection with DHCP and DNS
- Outbound HTTPS access for approved OZVO services
- Your commissioned local hostname
- An Owner or Administrator account with MFA
- A Windows 11 x64 business-edition device if you plan to deploy the Agent
Place and connect OZVO Edge
- Place OZVO Edge in a secure, ventilated location with reliable power.
- Connect its wired network interface to the commissioned management network.
- Connect power and wait for the appliance to finish starting.
- From an authorized workstation, open the commissioned HTTPS hostname. A lab hostname such as ozvo-hw01.local is only an example; use the hostname provided for your site.
Sign in and verify health
- Sign in with your assigned account.
- Complete MFA when prompted.
- Open Overview and confirm the appliance health is shown as healthy.
- Review Assets and Findings to confirm discovery evidence is arriving.
Enable remote access
When remote access is enabled for your site, sign in at portal.ozvosecurity.com. The portal shows only sites assigned to your authenticated tenant and account. Select the site and open its dashboard.
- OZVO Edge initiates the outbound encrypted connection.
- No inbound router port-forward is required.
- Local dashboard access remains independent of cloud availability.
- An Owner can disable remote access when needed.
Deploy the first Windows Agent
- In the dashboard, open Assets and locate the existing Windows device.
- Choose Allow Windows Agent Enrollment.
- Download and run the production OZVO Windows Setup package.
- Approve the Windows UAC prompt.
- Let Setup install or upgrade the Agent and complete enrollment in one flow.
- Return to OZVO and confirm Verified, Enrolled, Healthy, and Current, then open Detailed Posture.
If something is not ready
Use the troubleshooting guide that matches the visible condition. Preserve the installed Agent and its identity unless Support gives a qualified recovery procedure.
- Site offline: check local availability and outbound HTTPS.
- Agent not checking in: verify the endpoint is on and can reach the commissioned Edge service.
- Installed but not enrolled: confirm a current approval and device match.
- Stale evidence: allow a current check-in, then review the evidence timestamp.
